Daschle's Argument Essay: Homosexuals
When people discussing about commonsense, they mean the basic of knowledge that we see and may or may not experience in real life. People will always have their own opinions about everything, and their sources are vary. However, homosexual is one of the “American’s hot topic issue” over many decades. I am disagree with Tom Daschle because there are no prove nor evidence base on science method for his belief, and the facts that I see it more like dogmatism. For more information and according to the dictionary, homosexual are people that’s attract to same-sex as their own. Many people don’t believe in scientific as chapter two in Introducing Psychology second edition by Daniel Schacter, Daniel Gilbert, and Daniel Wegner did mentioned the author Louise Hay of You Can Heal Your Life, according to the psychology book she stated:” Well, I don’t believe in scientific evidence, I really don’t. Science is fairly new. It hasn’t been around that long. We think it’s such a big deal, but it’s, you know, it’s just a way of looking at life” (pg. 31). Her explanation are fairly …show more content…
However, for believing in the facts “homosexual are a sin” it’s against human rights, because people have the right to be who they are and what are we to judge them that it are is a sin to God. Every religious have differences belief and so as similarity of belief. For example, all religions believe that if we do good things we will go to heaven when we died and the opposite is hell. In the other hand, the defined of “do good things” from each religious are somewhat different. For the most common known book in religious is the Bible, who we assumed been written and past down by Jesus Christ. It’s did stated that homosexuals are wrong, but it’s also stated judging other people without knowing them are also wrong. However, as a human being we love to complicate

The Holocaust was the methodical persecution and murder of Jews, carried out by the Nazi regime. In 1933 the Nazis came into power in Germany. Hitler had wanted to create a master race of the Aryan race. They had the belief that they were racially superior to Jews and that they were a threat to their race. But other groups were also deemed inferior, including the Roma, homosexuals and physically disabled. Hitler wanted to exterminate theses groups so he slowly implemented the “final solution”. The Nazi regime began to open forced labor camps and other acts against the Jews as well. Although Jews were mainly targeted there were various other groups that were persecuted as well, such as the Roma, homosexuals and physically/mentally disabled.…

Many churches preached against gay rights, saying things like, “Homosexuals are sinners, god didn’t want this, and my favorite, god made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.” “Leviticus 20:13 - If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them.” (Bible). When people read things like this in the bible it’s basically telling them it’s okay to discriminate against others, such as homosexuals. It is so wrong that the bible consists of sch horrible, degrading passages, saying if a man is in sexual relations with another man they should be put to death. The bible also states, “Leviticus 18:22 - Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] abomination.” Don’t get me wrong I see no problem believing in god, but I don’t believe people should take the bible as serious as they do. The bible doesn’t only talk about discrimination against homosexuality, it also talks about how women must listen to their husbands, and different foods you shouldn’t eat because if you don’t obey the bible you are going to hell. Leviticus 19:27 reads, “You shall not round off the side-growth of your heads nor harm the edges of your beard.” That’s basically saying you can’t cut your hair or you’re going to hell, which is complete stupidity. The bible also states, “You are to keep my statutes. You shall not breed together two kinds of your cattle; you shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor wear a garment upon you of two kinds of material mixed together.” The bible just has ridiculous “laws” that you must abide by like not mixing two fabrics, therefore saying you can’t wear polyester. I think it’s foolish that many people know the bible has irrational passages written in it, but insist on saying, “According to the bible homosexuality is…

Christians claim that homosexuality is unnatural, that God mad man and women to love each other. Stating that the purpose of men/women sex is clear—reproducing the species. They are like a jigsaw puzzle they fit together perfectly, and that any other combination is not using the human anatomy for what it was made for. Catholics opinions are also stating that homosexuality is unnatural. Well looking at the Catholic religion—the community is full of the celibate man, if you can imagine such a thing, calling another person’s living style unnatural. If a man and a women are supposed to reproduce and the Catholics are made of celibate men then how do they reproduce? It is understood that a man/women sex is used to reproduce. Homosexuality is actually completely natural. There are over 500 animal species, including the great apes, of which humans are a part of. It was used to believe that homosexuality was a mental disorder; we are now decades past that belief. Society has recognized that homosexuality is natural. Christians say “but natural doesn’t mean good”, “Rape, violence, and cyanide are natural but harmful”. Rape…

Everybody has their own beliefs on homosexuality. Some believe it is a sin, and some believe love is love; whether that is with the opposite or same sex. Homosexuality is something that in this point is time is accepted way more than it was a couple years back. Of course we still have some people who discriminate homosexuals in many ways. Some are against it due to religion, or the way they were brought up, I feel everyone is entitled to their opinion but they should keep an open mind. Like I said, the world is changing and you don’t have to accept it but you should learn to live with it without discriminating or putting them down.…

The way we view homosexuality has very much to do with how we were raised and taught depending on where we are from, our parents beliefs and what others around us tell us. Because of this we believe what we believe and will stand by them unless we ourselves come to a different conclusion as we grow older. I was raised a Catholic and was taught by the Bible teachings that homosexuality was wrong and will go to hell if that is what you practiced. In this paper we will look a little at the historical and scientific perspectives of homosexuality.…

All religions state that only men and women are meant to be married not man to man or woman to woman. Andrew stated in his article that gay married is not a sin and also writes “there may be religious reason for resisting gay marriage that within certain tradition is unanswerable” which I believe is nonsense. The bible says “one man to one woman” I believe most religions believe that God created Adam and eve as the first human beings and soul mates. In the word of bible gay marriage is not accepted, there are not any words in the bible that describe that homosexuality’s acceptance in the eyes of god. So saying that homosexuality is not a sin is an offence to the…

Ever since the beginning of creation, God made man and woman to reproduce and create humanity. God never in between allowed or said that same sex marriage was permissible or was the natural way to create a generation. For example in Genesis chapter 19 the story of Sodom and Gomorrah explained the wickedness of the city that mainly strived from homosexuality. Genesis 19:5- And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? Bring them out unto us that we may know them. The city 's perverseness made God infuriated and led to the destruction of that city turning it into fire and brimstone. This gives evidence that homosexuality is a religious sin, which is analogous to many other Biblical prohibitions, like committing adultery which transgresses ethics.…
