The most difficult client for me to work with would have to be a client who is in a demostic violence relationship but is unwilling to leave the relationship due to religious or moral teachings. I chose this statement because in today's society domestic viloence is occuring, in relationships and marriages. It would be hard for me because, I know for myself that it would make me angry right away. Only because individuals let there significant other beat on them, call them names, and what ever else and it's evident that you do not have to live with. That person surely deserves better. Although religion and moral teachings is a huge part of why that person won't leave. But I'll say this, either you leave or you're probably going to be beat to death. Leave and make a statement, let him/her know that if they keep beating on you, you won't be around. Let them suffer without you, because just as much as he/she is beating on you, leaving them would hurt even worse. As for those children who have been in domestic viloence, I know it's harder to take them away from the scene. But it is important for the child to seek help too. Physical violence off all one of the worse things, because it could cause physical and mental problems, arthritis, hypertension, heart disease (long-term DV), loosing jobs due to absenteesim due to results of physical beating, loosing family and friends, embarrassment, abandonment, the list goes on. As for children who witness or are involved in DV demonstrate behavioral/emotional problems, stuttering, anxiety, fears, sleep disruption, excessive crying and school problems. No one should have to through this type of treatment. We weren't put on earth to be beat to death. I would ask this client, what's more important, your health and well-being or sleeping with the…

Prior to the ruling of Emperor Ashoka, kings, emperors, and rulers were rarely thought to be representations of God. Ashoka was the ruler of the Mauryan Empire which stood in India from 273 BCE to 232 BCE. The Mauryan Empire included most of India's grounds as well as what is now known today as Bangladesh and Pakistan. Once conquering Kalinga, Asoka sought to find a Guru, seeking enlightenment. After sitting beneath the Bodhi tree, Asoka became a more fulfilling leader. Throughout Asoka's life, he had proven himself to be an enlightened ruler by seeking Buddha, creating the Asokan edicts, and acting out on his best interests for his people.…

The author of the article “New Perspectives on the Evolution of Bipedalism,” Allison S. Brookes makes a compelling argument that the reason humans evolved to walk on two legs was the need to be able to outlast the animals that they were hunting. Early Hominines did not have adequate ways of killing large game up close, they did not have bows and arrows, and much less guns to hunt with. The author argues that because of this, they had to evolve to be able to run long distances to instead kill the animal they were hunting through its dehydration and overheating.…

Not rare, but hard to come by, the kinkajou (Potos flavus) is a small, honey-colored, nocturnal rainforest mammal related primarily to the raccoon. On average, the kinkajou weighs four to seven pounds but can range anywhere from three to ten. To compensate for its small body, the kinkajou has a tail around twenty inches long. This animal uses its tail as a fifth arm, usually to hang from branches or help with balance. The kinkajou lives in the rainforest canopy of Central and South America spending most of its time sleeping in tree holes and rarely comes to the ground. It is rarely seen by humans because of its strong nocturnal habits rarely see it.…

As a population living in small villages in very large huts deep in the rainforests of Venezuela the Yanomamo tribe are hunters and gatherers. Yanomamö families live in large communal homesteads. Each family has its own hearth where members eat, sleep and store belongings. Hammocks are strung one above the other like bunks with the youngest children at the bottom.” (Nowak, 2009). Although they live in what to us would be communal living, they have separate areas for each family.…

In 1990, Lumpkin Plumbing was formed and slowly grew for the first half of the 1990’s. Due to rapid business growth in the latter part of the decade, Mr. Lumpkin decided to expand on the company’s existing building. This expansion was made possible by a $150,000 loan approved by Ms. Mae Lillie from Central National Bank. For the past 5 years Lumpkin Plumbing has been banking with this bank, yet this was its first loan. The company regularly provides reports regarding its progress and Mr. Lumpkin keeps in contact with Ms. Lillie. This makes them highly applicable for additional loans with this bank. While the projections were underestimated, this is a positive sign that making the loan payments should not be a concern. Lumpkin Plumbing is a well-managed business with high potential for future growth and success as long as it keeps operations under control and improves projection accuracy.…

Are you sitting comfortably? Underestimate The Yanomami Tribes at your peril. Until recently considered taboo amongst polite society, several of todays most brilliant minds seem incapable of recognising its increasing relevance to understanding future generations. The juxtapositioning of The Yanomami Tribes with fundamental economic, social and political strategic conflict draws criticism from the aristocracy, who are likely to form a major stronghold in the inevitable battle for hearts and minds. Here begins my indepth analysis of the glourious subject of The Yanomami Tribes.…

    Kitsune

There is very little differences throughout the internet of the stories of this mythical creature called Kitsune. The three websites that have been chosen is “Mythical Creatures Guide,” “Kitsune,” and “Pinterest” and the following website will be explored for how it describe and analyze Kitsune. What all the website include is a common photos of a Kitsune in its fox from. The photos is from the old traditional Japanese age (see figure 1) and from more modern artists who had been interested by the story of Kitsune (see figure 2). The photos illustrated that the legend of Kitsune has been believed for over hundreds of years. Another similarity is how the websites setup a mood for its reader. The “Mythical Creatures Guide” used the color black as a background as a way of expressing the mysteries behind Kitsune powers and stories. The website “Kitsune” has a very visual way of setting up the mood for its reader. One way is how it uses an impressive amount of visuals to show that the Kitsune belief is still portrayed in modern sociality. In what makes “Kitsune” unique is it uses music to build upon how modern sociality still believed in Kitsune by using a modern style of music by modern musicians but by using traditional…

    Dalrymple

    • 813 Words
    • 3 Pages

Theodore Dalrymple attempts to find a reasonable balance between blind disobedience to authority and blind obedience, that some think determined opposition to authority is “principled and romantic” (120). Children often do what they are told; teens on the other hand, like to disobey authority. When they do they think of themselves as rebels or more romantic. He does an excellent job of pointing out how short sided many people are and how they would say that defying authority is the rebel approach. Obedience is more important than disobedience, even though there are many who think the exact opposite. Many people think it is cool to be disobedient or to be a rebel. Dalrymple effectively demonstrates that most people will change the way they view obedience and disobedience when provided information that proves that obedience is needed more than disobedience to make society function properly.…
