DCSEM Simulation Lab Report
About half a century ago, Gordon Moore stated the number of transistors in computer chips increase per unit cost every two year. Extrapolating this accelerating pace, logic dictates that computers will be powerful enough to give rise to Virtual Reality applications by 2020. Seeing the world today, computers are used for various Virtual reality applications such as simulations. Simulation is the imitation of the operation of a real-world process or system. Simulations are used for various actives such as: scientific researches, home and amusement hall entertainments, work field training, etc. The concept of simulation is leveraged and is being used by military training by the Canadian Force. Moreover, the Canadian Forces launched a project known as Land Vehicle Crew Training System (LVCTS) whose goal is to deliver a training system to enable crews of the principle …show more content…
This position involved in helping the DCSEM Simulation Lab in providing the LVCTS project with subject matter expertise on simulation software as well as to further build/upgrade the DCSEM Simulation Lab. The LVCTS project contained lines of tasks which required studies to be done and to evaluate the software simulation’s with these studies. I was in charge in creating a generic template of the Terrain and Computer Generated Forces evaluation, then evaluating the simulation software’s in the lab. This resulted many hours of daily researches and testing on simulation software’s. Furthermore, I have spent half my work term in the lab for testing the Terrain and Computer Generated Forces of simulation software’s as well as in the configuration of the various hardware/software technologies contained in the

The objective of this lab was to understand how to use the Working Model 2D software and to apply this knowledge to create a vibration absorber. Part 1 was to open up a demo file and analyze the force vs. time of the piston. Part 2 was to create a vibration absorber. The reason for creating the vibration absorber was to limit the motion of a punch press. This press causes unwanted vibrations that affect nearby equipment during operation. The vibration of this press was to be dissipated using a mass and spring sized appropriately for the size of the press and its motion.…

BIC is a product that has been extremely successful, offering items such as a low-cost disposable razor, and pens that add value to the user at an affordable price. BIC uses a strategy similar to the Niche Cost Leader Strategy. The Niche Cost Leader Strategy puts the main focus on positioning a product at an affordable price while still presenting value to its customers. My reasoning for using this strategy is that my products will be extremely useful and beneficial to its consumers; products like BIC and McDonalds are in extreme demand with the situation of today’s economy. To maintain this strategy, I will keep the costs that go into the products low. Costs such as Research and Design, materials, and production serve as an important factor in the pricing of Erie’s products. As you continue reading, you will see my strategy unfold, the obstacles that I have faced, and the improvements that I will be developing in the near future.…

Computer simulation is a computer program that attempts to simulate an abstract model of a particular system. Over the years, they have become a useful part of mathematical modeling modeling of many natural systems in physics, chemistry, biology, human systems in economics, psychology, and social science in the process of engineering new technology. The book Divergent uses computer simulations to figure out what factions they belong in. Once they figure out their factions, they then use computer simulations to train in things like fighting and fear factoring.…
