Did you know that more than 400,000 people die each year because of tobacco? That is why the 6th graders have DARE. DARE stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education. DARE is a program that teaches the 6th graders about drugs and violence and how to stop it. The three things that stood out to me in DARE were Tobacco, Bullying, and Peer Pressure. Tobacco is bad because it has nicotine that makes you addicted to it. It hurts you by giving you lung cancer and other cancers. Tobacco makes your friends and family mad at you because you are smoking. Another reason you should not do tobacco is because it has bad health effects it interferes with the way your brain works and it yellows your teeth. Bullying
