So many students and kids are victims of cyber bullying whether this bullying is in school or from home. I think parents need to have control over who their kids talk to on face book and other social networking sites. Also I think school principals and administrators should take the necessary steps to prevent cyber bullying from school. Cyber bullying should be considered a crime and I think all law enforcement agencies should consider this.
Cyber bullying is when a child, preteen or teen is tormented, threatened, harassed, humiliated, embarrassed or otherwise targeted by another child, preteen or teen using the Internet, interactive and digital technologies or mobile phones. It has to have a minor on both sides, or at least have been instigated by a minor against another minor. When adults become involved, it is plain and simple cyber-harassment or cyber stalking. Adult cyber-harassment or cyber stalking is never called cyber bullying. Cyber-bullying may seem like nothing since there 's no physical contact, but in reality it can hurt even more than the actual thing. Behind those monitors are real people with real feelings; some have been driven to depression, some have been driven to physical bullying, and some have been driven to suicide.
A 15- year -old girl from Massachusetts by the name of Phoebe Prince was a victim of cyber bullying. She is an immigrant from Ireland and she moved to Massachusetts. “Afterward, her fellow students came forward to tell school officials that Prince had been teased incessantly, taunted by text messages and harassed on social networking sites like Facebook”.(Donaldson 2010).
In schools across The United States, minors are being bullied every single day. Bullying has escalated from the schoolyards to the classroom in previous years and it goes from the school to the home via cyberspace today. "Cyber Bullying" is when a
