Play Ball! Those two words, to me mean more then my own self. Baseball to me is not part of my life, it is my life. I know that hard work pays off, so i spend all my extra time i have out training. Alex Rodriguez, a famous baseball player and role model of mine gave me the best on how to look at my goals. He said, "always fallow your dreams, don't let anyone tell you that you cant be something." Ever since I was a little boy, I have loved the game of baseball. I would always be glued to the television when a game was. The game and me were unseperateable. The biggest thing i think i struggle with is when people tell me that im wasting my childhood away playing so much baseball. That im putting all this work in to make it no where. Dealing with these people is defiantly a hardship. Only because there are so many people who believe that there is no chance for me to play at the professional level. If you research the chance of a average american boy my age and in my situation, making it the the professional level of baseball. The chances a astronomical and only one in one hundred seventy five thousand chance that i could be chosen to play. Even with such a little chance to me the efort is worth it . With the numbers being so high, people try to use that against me. Yes numbers are important but no numbers can tell me how good i really am.
Even with such a high number, my passion for the game is too great to just give up now. Yes the chances are high, but the reward is even higher. Just like Rodriquez said, always fallow your dreams. With being a baseball professional baseball player, there are many responsibilities, some like how you handle situations, how u care yourself and who you are off the field. I personally feel that todays athletes carry themselves in the wrong way. With me such a believer in Christianity, I belie that ever player should be thanking our God for the opportunities he has placed in there lives. I
