Customization Of Cars In The 1930's
Since the 1st car was invited, people have looked for more ways to make the cars more creative and more beautiful. The Model T only came in black but when it was built in assembly lines. Before that it was blue. Cars have evolved since and there is more technology inside of them with new stereos, monitors, and lights. It’s really up to the individual on how they want to customize their own car. With many styles they might have in mind with flames or maybe just one or multiple colors all together.
Most people think “kustom” is a way to make something in their own style and to design something they really like. However some people think of “kustom” is described as the “era of saturday night cruisers” (Wickham Print 15) . Saturday night cruisers are where many show cars go out into the road and show of their amazing colors and they’re unique personality. Customization is also called modification . In the 1920’s custom cars were mostly for the wealthy people who had enough to afford these kinds of things. Later in the 1930’s the grandfather of customizing cars was known as Harry Westergard. Window tint is one very popular option. From no tint to 5% of tint which is the most darkest of all. People who usually tint their car windows have many benefits from it. Like it increases your privacy, keeps windows from shattering for example if you’re in a car accident. It reduces heat and harmful rays ("Car Tinting Laws.") .Who can’t forget the important thing in a car to make a car move, the wheels and it’s rims. Rims weren’t that huge back then but in the mid 90’s they came very popular .
