As a Level II Senior System Administrator

• Providing L2 & L3 level support for Bank of New York Mellon (Data Centre) in Solaris. • Handling L2 & L3 Escalation calls and live escalation when a high severity issue occurs. • Responsible for 24/7 support & providing end to end support for Production and Development servers. • Managing Solaris OS File system, Backups and Restoration, Boot and Shutdown Procedures, Disk Management, Boot Prompt operation. • Install applicable patches and third party software on Sun Servers. • Managing VxVM such as creating and removing Disk groups, Volumes and File Systems • Mirroring the volumes using vxassist & by creating plexes and sub disks. • Recovering the corrupted volumes using disk group configurations • Adding/Replacing the defective Hard Disk Drives under VxVM • Working on system performance issues like Paging, CPU and Disks issues. • Backup and Restoration of file systems using Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) • Hands on experience on Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) • Working Knowledge in SVM, Zones and ZFS • Traffic Switch between Data Centers
