Curley's Monologue From 'Of Mice And Men'
I sit in the barn, while petting the puppy. I pet the puppy as softly as a I can, “Why do you got to get killed? You ain’t so little as mice. I didn’t bounced you hard.” I look at my little puppy, laying dead on my arms, knowing that George ain’t gonna let me tend the rabbits. “This ain’t no bad thing like I got to go hide in the brush. Oh! No. This ain’t. I’ll tell George I foun’ it dead.” I could tell George that! But maybe he’s gonna know I did it. George won’t let me tend the rabbits no more.
Why did the puppy had to die? It weren’t so small as a mice. It were suppose to go to the farm with me and George. He won’t let me tend the rabbits no more. I guess it wasn’t big enough. You would’ve been with me to go to the farm with me and George. …show more content…
