Culturally Responsive Pedagogy
The important goal of cultural responsive education is to assist all the students to become more respectful of multitude of cultures and people that student interact in educational setting. Hence, applying the cultural experience, characteristic and the importance of language, race, and cultural ethnicities diverse students as conduits for teaching the students more effectively, which students will experience in school and outside of school. This can be a difficult task for teacher to giving the world large everlasting complex diverse microcosmic environment which students will be inhabits. Probably the reason consistently growing because of diverse students those are underperforming compare to the mainstream students. According to the researchers, “The opportunity to learn comprise for components: high quality early childhood education; highly qualified teacher and instructors in grade k-12; college preparatory curricula that will prepare all youth for college, work and community”. (Rychly & Graves, 2012) In preference to educational setting American public education system is not gathering all the information to educate the diverse students. Also teacher are under qualify for teaching diversity students. Therefore, to design effective culturally responsive pedagogy teacher must have equitable instructional resources, have high qualifies educational field experience from k-12 and have college degree in order to teach and make young children’s prepare for college, have better job and build community in diverse …show more content…
This is a critical part of knowledge to be more tolerant of students as a teacher. It is important for teachers to distinguish their own cultural and linguistic background as they work with students from different cultural diverse. Also, teacher need to be more open to evaluating their unique experiences, values, and beliefs, freedom in education setting. Teacher also need to keep in mind that all English language learners have to be provide with equal opportunity in learning regardless of their individual backgrounds. If teachers are to help diverse or English language learner more effectively and meet their needs equally in the classroom setting, and provide safe learning environment then definitely student will accomplish. Also, as teacher should have high expectations from her students’ behavioral, classroom management and academic performance and understand the students’ needs. And provide the extra supports without judging them. Give students chance to bring and share who they are in the
