Critique Of Koller's Cost Of Higher Education
Summary: Koller. D (August 2012) emphasize that today there is just not enough spots for the many more people who want and deserve a high quality education. Even in big countries, there are people who cannot afford a higher education. According to statistics mentioned in lecture, the cost of higher education has been increasing at almost twice, a total of 559% since 1985. Koller with her cofounder Andrew Ng. opened online education resource Coursera. This is a platform with the best 43 courses from the best instructors at the best universities and their purpose is to provide everyone in the world for free. Online courses started on given day, the students would watch videos on weekly basis and do real homework assignment for a grade, every assignment has deadline. At the end of the course, every student can get the certificate and then show it for employer and get a better job or present to an educational institution to count course for actual credit. She reports that Coursera become the great opportunity for
