Corse two also help me to provide evidence to analysis by using quotation to support my thesis. I was able to show the author’s agreement or disagreement to the thesis I develop. In my introduction, I stated, “However, an individual identity can be altered by language through such factors as their tone of voice, cultural disownment and racial profiling” (“The Relationship Between Language and Identity”). This is the thesis I develop to prove language can alter identity. The article, “Can You be Discriminated Against Because of the Way You Speak” by Michael Erard, was able to provide evidence from the article to prove my thesis was correct. Erard stated, “But when the landlords met Baugh in person, he says things, quickly changed. ‘That’s when I was told the apartment was no longer available’, he recalls,’ or there had been some mistakes” (“The Relationship Between Language and identity” 5). From Erard statement telling how Baugh was racially mistreated, I was able to show racial profiling is a factor of how language can alter identity. This gives the reader a clearer understanding of my thesis and the essay.
Even though I didn’t get to master course goal four, mastering course goal two help me get a clearer understanding for writing college essay. From the Professor giving us these course goal at the beginning of the semester, it brings great determination when the goals are accomplished. Seeing big improvement in summarizing, quoting and providing evidence to my essays showed the lesson taught in class were successful. This will make it capable for me to manifest essays not only for English classes, but all other college assignments.

In the book“The Craft of Research,” writers should always know that readers will be critical and must address their points of view no matter what the argument is, and writers should anticipate opposing questions and respond to them adequately (Booth, Columb, and Williams 112-113).
