Creating space during a soccer game is very important in getting the ball into the net. There are four things needed to make space and pass: a plan, a distraction, speed, and room to be able to make that space. First you should have a good idea of what to do in this situation and where people are. Second you need some sort of distraction so another player can get open. This is an important step in the process because if you don’t the player getting open will get covered. Then you need to be able to keep the other team on their toes.
