Creating Annotated Bibliography Analysis
One of the questions that I have pertaining to creating an annotated bibliography in APA format is whether or not the explanations and paragraphs of each reference should be indented the same as the reference. As I was reading the annotated bibliographies samples in the Purdue Online writing lab, I have noticed that the paragraphs under the references are flush with the indentation of the reference and the first sentence of each paragraph is not indented (OWL, 2009). However, as I was reading this week’s lesson and other classmates’ forums and comments here at AMU, I have noticed that the paragraphs are not indented as they are in the Purdue Online writing. This has me confused and I would like to know which is the correct form, AMU or the …show more content…
This helps ensure that all the information is placed in the proper places and if you have one of those computers with two monitors it is best to just keep the APA guide open in the second monitor when working on citations in the main monitor. These are some of my annotated bibliographies that I have created so far:

In this scholarly journal, Giorgi discuss the problem of mass incarceration from five different points of views. The author talks about the impact that mass incarceration has in disadvantage people and communities of color. The author also talks about the cost of mass incarceration, the rise of privatization of prisons and jails, and suggests possible solutions to combat this problem.
The author supports his ideas by providing current statics from different scholarly sources and organizations. Some of the writings and statistics in the text would be useful to support statements in the final project about the problems that mass incarceration creates and the cost involved with maintaining jails and
