Interview with a professional #1 Dr. Craig Elder is an instructor of health science at University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS). Dr. Craig Elder is originally from Georgia. He stayed in Georgia to complete his undergraduate academic studies at Berry College, which is Rome, Georgia. While at Berry College he majored in athletic training. He majored in athletic training because he was athletic in high school and wanted to stay connected to it by figuring out why somebody got and how to help them get better. Then, he went on to Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama to complete his graduate academic studies. Finally, he got his PhD at University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The reasons why he went to Auburn University and University of Alabama is because the schools were interested in him and provide graduate assistance for him. Another reason is that the schools would help pay for his education and help him not be in debt.
If Dr. Craig Elder were not teaching academics he would be doing athletic training professionally. If he did not figure out that he liked teaching in a classroom he would still have his job as head athletic trainer at a college. He got lucky with his friends for choosing a good undergraduate school because he decided to go where his friends went. He never really had a clue what he wanted to be

Craig Elder liked academic programs that helped him build a bond with students. For example, he liked to answer question that students needed help with also stay after class to assist them. However, he did not like doing the research and the writing because that is not what he liked the most. The best courses that he took in college that helped him with his current job are anatomy and physiology. Knowing the body inside out helped with his career. Though, he wished he could of taken more gross anatomy classes to keep the information stuck because he believed that looking at human body is better than looking at a

    After she figured out she wanted to teach elementary school she went back to college for her masters in education, a fourteen-month degree. Deaton financed her many years of university by working and living at home to save money, as well as scholarships. Deaton went on to say that any kind of small and personal classes were her most enjoyable. She very much disliked large lecture classes, Econ 150 was an example she used. I finally moved on to asking what inspired her to become a teacher. Deaton’s father is a college professor while her mother is a special education teacher, she said that it was always assumed she would become a teacher.
