Interviewer: So we will learn a little more. Now, what would you say is the role that CHA plays in the lives of consumers? So, like crafters on that level.
Nadine: I think, we frustrate them, not intentionally, but by limiting them to not be able to come, is frustrating. The consumers just want to come. I understand that there is just nothing that we can do and I think it needs to stay that way. I think, you know, for us to dabble in the world of consumers is a slippery slope.

Nadine: Because it gets confusing, I think, for the manufacturer as well as for our traditional attendees.

Nadine: Yeah, I hate that, because we are CHA, but the IRS, they just call the IRS. So, for the most part, if you are in the industry and have anything that might be correlated to craft and hobby, they know what Craft and Hobby is. The challenges that take place are, one of the biggest challenge that we have there is an organization that is called NADA, it’s a fine arts association.
So, fine arts, here craft and hobby and hear craft, which is really nice, but the craft and hobby community hear about fine arts and think oh, that’s toys and it's like Christmas. So, the craft and hobby community is much more open to see what they can have worked in their stores and in their projects and in their retreats and all of these fun things. But fine art is very snooty, is the best way I can say it.

Nadine: So, I think that this double crash thing, not really craft, versus creative versus creative expression and being inspirational and aspirational. I think in that respect, Craft and Hobby is a little dated. On the hobby side, I describe it as usually what men do in their garages or in their basements versus crafts are what women do at their dining room tables or in their craft …show more content…
To transition from that could be challenging, but I think it is worth exploring. You know, with those creative industries or creative, I’m not even show what an H would be. But creative something, may be more of a fit going forward then the word craft, even though it's known as CHA, because the CHA again, people call it cha or CHA as much as they do Craft and Hobby, so changing that may not be that painful and frankly be refreshing for people to say, oh, thank God, it's about time you got
