About the festival
Country to country is a music festival held annually in the UK. The event was created by AEG Europe and SJM Concerts in association with the Country Music Association. It began in March 2013 and is the first multi day country music festival in the United Kingdom. The festival sees some of the biggest names in the American country music scene play arenas in London, Glasgow and Dublin. The event is held the second week in March every year beginning on the Friday night and finishing on Sunday. Due to the pervious success of the past 2 years the festival expanded into Europe, adding dates in Oslo and Stockholm. Each night will see 4 acts take the stage in each city with artists switching venues each night. The first tournament in 1930 featured 13 teams invited by FIFA. After initial success the tournament expanded to a 32 team final tournament. The tournament involves a two year qualifying process involving over 200 teams from all over the world. The world cup has taken place every four years since it began in 1930 with the exception of 1942 and 1946 when it could not be held due to the second world war. Each World Cup tournament is played in a different country. The host nation is chosen by FIFA’s executive committee using a ballot system.
