Country Better Than City
Country Life is better than City Life
City life and country life are very different to each other. The bustling city is alive with people and activities, whereas the country is relaxed and quiet; but which is better? I strongly think that life in the country beats the city by far because of the better environment and friendlier community. The tranquil setting of the country is definitely superior compared to urban life, and is really appealing to everyone.
Firstly, the environment in the countryside is much more relaxed and peaceful compared to the city. The UK newspaper, The Cornish Guardian, quotes: "It’s official: country living beats the hustle and bustle of city life. People living in the South West countryside are more pleased with their lives than those residing in the city or London, according to new research." There is no pollution, less traffic, less noise, less factories, fewer crimes and quiet nights – what could be better? There are also beautiful landscapes and views in the country without the disturbance of cars and roads in the way. Another great aspect of country environment is that it is clean and fresh, away from litter and dust. Not only is the city polluted in the air and water, it is also noisy, crowded and congested. The noise can be caused by aeroplanes, trains, motorbike hoons, car horns, loud music and neighbour’s parties. There is also light pollution, caused by too much fluorescent lights from malls and offices. Consequently, country environment is clearly better compared to the city in many ways.
Another important aspect is that people in the country learn important life skills by growing their own crops and farming animals at their farms. The UK Office for National Statistics quotes: "Generally across regions, people living in rural areas give higher ratings for their well-being than those living in urban areas." This shows that people living in the country are more satisfied with their lives than those who live in

Many families and individuals find themselves at some point questioning the advantages of city living versus country living. It is nearly impossible to find a good answer to this question. What is good for one person might not be good for another. Some people enjoy the busy, hyper active metropolitan city where they can use all amenities and have unlimited opportunities for work and leisure. At the same time, other people feel the urge to be closer to Mother Nature, relaxation, beauty, and peace. They take pleasure in living in the calm and peaceful environment of the countryside and spending their free time fishing, hiking, picking berries in the woods, or playing in the creek. In my opinion, the nature of urban and rural life style and the effect it has on people is the most important difference between living in the city and living in the country. I feel fortunate to have grown up in the rural area. I would never trade my memories of playing in the creek, riding four wheelers, or climbing trees all within a short walk from my house. Health, education, and transportation are three major concerns that need to be considered. While city life can bring more opportunities in these cases, country life can provide the best of both worlds.…

To begin with let’s enumerate and discuss all the advantages of rural living. Firstly, in a country or in a small town there is a better environment to live in. There is less traffic in a country and as a result people living there do not have to inhale vehicle emissions as they do in any big city. On the contrary instead of polluted air you always have fresh air, country amenities such as fields, forests, valleys, rivers and lakes in a rural area. The same cannot be said about the life in a city where the atmosphere is like a periodic table; sometimes it is even possible not to find a single tree or bush in a city. And even if there are any lakes or rivers in a big town, very often swimming in them you feel as though you are a pig…

The stifling and polluted atmosphere of a crowded city on the contrary akes you suffocated and annoyed. It may breed neurosis and other fatal diseases to urban residents. I stress the word "city" rather than small town, farm, or cabin in the woods because, in most cases your life can be far simpler in a city. A city's density leads to efficiencies in meeting your needs. Cities serve as a site for the exchange of labor, money, entertainment, culture, and are transit hubs. You can live in a city with less stuff than in the country, and your life can be richer through easy access to other people and culture.…

In my opinion I think country life is better than city life. The city is very busy and crazy! The crowds and traffic generates stress that challenges the human being. Perhaps that is why the city people act like an angry, stressed and unfriendly person. The country is so calm and peaceful, makes the city people want to go down there for vacations. Life in the city is very challenging. The public transportation reduces the demand for your own vehicles and the accompanying expenses. City life provides distractions available in the arts, theater, and other forms of entertainment. Even though there is a lot of activities that you can do like, going shopping on every corner and sidewalk, the city life also carries a heavy price.…

Another important advantage is that there aren’t any skyscrapers or tall apartment, so you can see the vast blue sky and everything in it clearly. This gives you the freedom to hike up a calm hill, walk through a day and dense. Furthermore, you can easily build a big house with a garden, because the costs for a piece of land are much lower in the suburbs. Living in countryside has a lower tempo. People don’t need to hurry up and have plenty of spare time. They don’t have to work as many hours as people living in the city do, on the other hand, they don’t earn as much money.…

When approaching the countryside you are immersed in the rolling hills of green, the smell of fresh cut grass invades your senses going hand in hand with the birds singing their sweet songs on the rolling air. There are more trees then you can count and it is very comforting scene all together. If you are city bound the city you are faced with tightly packed buildings, cram-packed streets filled with angry drivers forever late for this or that. Smog and a ripe stench that can’t seem to be placed take a permanent seat in your nostrils, walking is nearly impossible to do without running into someone. Definitely not the life for someone who treasures personal space and pleasantries that seem to be swept to the way side with city living. There are less pollution, fewer cars, and fewer factories in the countryside. This shows that the environment is better and more natural in the country. As opposed to a city filled with loud noises and factories which contribute to noise and environmental pollution.…
