Read the case study below. Answer the questions listed below in your own words using the case study as the basis for your answers. Do not work with, or share answers with other students in this course when completing this assignment task.

Case study

Sally is a 41-year-old woman with two school-age children. Sally tells her counsellor that she experiences a lot of conflict in her relationship with her partner, which began when Sally was 14 years old.

At 20, Sally threatened to commit suicide when her partner wanted to leave the relationship. Sally confirms that this was not the first time she had threatened suicide. Throughout her childhood, Sally was very concerned about other people’s opinion of
– How she looked, what she ate, who she had as friends, and eventually her choice of partner.

At times, Sally finds it almost impossible to contain her emotions and often goes
