This essay will concentrate on Ethical leadership and Increased state activities as two examples that need to be examined. Firstly this essay will look at Ethical leadership. Ethical leadership can be defined as corruption at elite levels. It is the very act of corruption at the top levels that signals it as acceptable for the masses. Haughey was known by the people simply, as Charlie. He ruled with political guile, spinning a web of corruption that brought him enormous wealth and eventual shame. His early years in politics were notable ones, especially as justice minister, where he was seen to introduce a number of important social legislation. It is worth mentioning that as finance minister Haughey was arrested and tried on charges of running guns for the Provisional I.R.A. but as he was acquitted this essay will make no more statement towards it.
