I do come from a different society and more so a different culture, the issue of uniform is not subject to exception. Different institutions have different opinions why they should or they shouldn’t be wearing uniform. I come from a society that most health institution still wears the white outfit of the nursing culture. In general, making nurses to wear uniform may deny them the opportunity to express themselves by having to wear the same outfit throughout their career in most cases, this uniforms are unfashionable compared with the ancient time of wearing white cap and white dress, nowadays the nursing clothes are being redesigned to provide for just easy recognition . White uniform in my thought is just but the reminder to the patient that they are sick or in an institution. However, it is the practice environment and not the dress that do foster the uniqueness of nurses and their ability to freely express themselves. It’s not what wears that express a lot but rather the delivery of care to the patient and our attitude matter the most ("Nurseszone.com,”) . Scrubs are not weather friendly in that during summer, scrubs are hot and cold in the winter and furthermore they wrinkle and bunch up. Hence it could be to the best interest of the nurse to decide what outfit to wear and not the institution deciding on the color and material of the scrubs. I do work at Fitzgibbon hospital and unfortunately, all the department should adhere to the new uniform rules by January 1st 2013. The rules are that nurses, techs, radiologist and other department will have their own different uniform colors that staff voted for early this year. Unfortunately, I do have no option but to follow the institution’s new rules.

In working for any medical facility, practice, or clinic there are certain criteria that is required. Having bright color pieces in your hair is a violation of code, especially in ethics. Having multiple piercings, visible tattoos, and visible inappropriate body parts are also prohibited. Proper attire would be medical scrubs, closed in shoes, hair pulled back off of face, one pair of earrings, and non-artificial nails following bright nail polish.…

The best way to approach the situation is for the organization to partner up with a uniform company and create a reasonable and affordable contract to manufacture uniforms and sell them at reasonable prices that the staff can afford. Initially the company may have to provide two or three pairs of uniforms to each staff member and from then on, the staff will be responsible for buying their own. This will make the changing process much easier, because one of the reasons that staff members will come up with to resist the change, will be that they do not have extra money in their budgets to buy new uniforms when they already have plenty of…

It has come to my attention that not everyone is wearing scrub uniforms. It is our policy that everyone looks uniform, so that our patients can tell the staff apart from our guests. We want to make sure our facility is at its best. Therefore the look of our staff is important. We will provide one scrub uniform per employee. The doctor’s will wear blue scrubs with their white lab coats. The RN’s and LPN’s will wear white scrub pants with a scrub top of their choice. Our dietary staff, housekeeping staff and maintenance staff will all wear black scrub pants with a top of their choice. Everyone must have either a plain white or black pair of tennis shoes. Name tags must be visible for everyone to see. Everyone had two weeks to comply with the dress code.…

Second of all uniforms take away the creativity of students. Students have so many rules in school about that they tend to express themselves with their clothes. When I was in school that’s how I expressed how I felt, through clothes. In my opinion students shouldn’t wear uniforms, they make everybody look the same and dull. Students like to be unique and stick out from the rest of the student body especially girls. Complementing each other on how you’re dressed is a big confident booster for students. So in the end uniforms take away the uniqueness of students and creativity.…

1.1 When I am working in the hospital there are policies and procedures I have to make sure to follow. One of them is about our uniform which is called Trust Dress, Uniform and Appearance Policy. Students can learn from uniforms in numerous different ways. Social pressures are what cause most scholars to dress inappropriately. If school uniforms are enforced students will learn modesty and chastity from repeated clothing choices every school day. Dictating school attire can also ensure that pupils of all races and backgrounds are welcome into any school. The schools that are confining apparel will set precedents for several other schools and encourage uniforms. School uniforms demonstrate what most occupation dress codes will go by from a day to day basis. Most workplaces require a strict dress code that does not allow racy and apathetic clothing. Uniforms illustrate professionalism in workplaces and overall prevent laziness. Lastly, uniforms show respect for your school, elevating the desire to represent your school.…

I bet that whoever decides to make a school have uniforms went to a school that did have uniforms as a kid and just never realized how much better it would have been without uniforms. If that person went to a school without uniforms as a child, they never would have made a school have it required. Seriously, for all you people that thinkschools should have uniforms, think back to when you were in high school or grade school. Did you really want to have a uniform to wear to school? Did you really hope that everyone wore the same exact thing every day? Did you wish back then that when you woke up in the morning to go to school, everyone would look and act and be the same? No, I don?t think so. You wanted to express yourself and see what people were wearing each day. You liked style. But now that your job makes all the employees wear the same thing, you want to drag everyone else down with you. Just because you have to suffer, doesn?t mean everyone else has to as well.…

Ans: - In centennial college, many students wear their work related uniforms, which is required for their course. This is quite beneficial for the students because uniforms make them unique from other students. They get almost a separate identity of their own. They also get to practice wearing their professional dress code while still being a student. Wearing a uniform also gives us an advantage in the sense that we do not have to worry about what we should wear every day. Often times, a lot of time is wasted before coming to the college because people are deciding what to wear. However, for those students who have to wear their uniforms, they have only one or two choice. So, it saves a lot of time for them in the morning and thus, they can get to school faster. Some uniform also gives people confidence, like the police uniform. When a student wears a police uniform, they feel more confident and responsible. They are more aware of their duties and what they are supposed to do. The same situation applies to students in nursing and paramedics. Canada is a multicultural society. So, when a student wears a particular career-related uniform, it increases their feeling of being part of that career and a part of Canada as a whole. Lastly, there are thousands of students in centennial college. So, it might become hard for the professor to identify who is their student and who is not. So, when a student wears their uniform, the professors can easily tell who their students are. This is why; wearing uniforms in centennial college is a good idea because there are lots of benefits…

Going to a Halloween party, seeing friends, family members or complete strangers dressed up in their contest winning costumes, is all a part of a good time. Hiding your identity behind a mask, and acting in ways you never would is all in good fun. Seeing women dressed up in little-to-no clothing, revealing their bodies is acceptable behavior at events like these. Men flocking over woman who are dressed as medical professionals, asking if anyone is in need of a nurse, is “hot” to the majority of men; but, is it “hot” to the nurse who earned a degree in nursing or is it degrading and potentially putting “real” nurses in jeopardy for their lives.”…

Also there is another reason why wearing certain type of clothing is more suitable. For an example Bill Clinton says “School uniforms are one step that may help break the cycle of violence, truancy and disorder by helping young students understand what really counts is what kind of people they are.”. I’m surprised that senior high schools don't ask the students to wear uniforms. They might spend more time on deciding why they get dressed up to school and pay less attention to studying which is students' ethics.…
