Concussion: Movie Analysis
I went to the movie theater the other day. I saw Will Smith’s new movie, Concussion. I saw it at the AMC in Rosedale. I wasn’t even planning on seeing it because I had work but I was 3 hours late so I was like what’s the point. I went to the theater and had to decide what to watch. It was between Concussion and Star Wars for me. I chose Concussion because it was shorter and I’ve never seen Star Wars before so I wouldn’t understand what was going on. I proceeded with my ticket but my eyes caught the snack area. Soon enough I was about to spend four dollars on a small pack of Sour Patches. God didn’t want me to so I got it for free. (My card was declined!)
When I stepped inside the first room to the left, I realized I was 30 minutes early. I got a call from my co-worker just that moment. She asked why I didn’t come and I told her everything. She laughed at me and I did too. I was on the phone with her until the …show more content…

The protagonist of the movie is Dr. Bennet Omalu, a Nigerian pathologist. He is giving testimony to a murder trial. He concludes that the suspect is innocent. Omalu works in a lab with a female co-worker, who is insignificant to the movie and a male co-worker who don’t get along because he talks to the dead. His boss is also annoyed with him because he throws away the knives everytime he uses one. When he asks if he would like if his mom and a serial killer were cut with the same knife he says yes. It’s unclear if he’s joking.
Omalu is shown as a religious man as he’s friends with the pastor. The pastor asks Bennet to give a Kenyan immigrant space in his home. It turns out to be a pretty young woman. Even though they’re strangers, they share a connection as African immigrants. He offers her money but
