1. Copy and paste the introduction to your essay in the space below.
King’s famous “Letter from Birmingham Jail,” was written in response to a public statement of concern and caution issued by eight white religious leaders of the south. Even though King felt that they were men of “genuine good will,” he didn’t feel that they were right in their criticism, therefore he responded to their statement in a “non-violent” way. King does this in many ways. For example, he first started by explaining why he was in Birmingham, next he explains in different ways the difference between laws that are just and unjust, finally he finished by telling everyone why he thought inequality was such a problem and what we all could do to fix it.
2. Using techniques learned in this lesson, write the conclusion to your essay in the space below.
King changed the world in more ways than many. He defeated racism, and demolished inequality. By going to Birmingham he changed the minds of millions. Not only did he do this in his letter he did it in his speech. King was a very brave man who wanted a change and would do anything to achieve it.

I connect my introduction and conclusion by referencing ideas from my introduction to write my conclusion.
