The Holocaust was a very tragic event for the Gypsies, Homosexuals, Polish, and especially the Jews. It was a genocide focused towards the Jews, and run by the Nazi’s. The Holocaust took place from 1933-1945 during that time millions of people died. The worst thing about the Holocaust was the concentration camps, and the propaganda that was made to be used against the Jews. The concentration camps were brutal and the Nazis treated the prisoners inhumanly and with no respect. There were four different types of camps during The Holocaust; Concentration Camps, Transit Camps, Work/Labor Camps, and Extermination Camps. But they were not the only people you would have guarding you. The Nazi’s wouls also have “male and female guards and wardens, who were usually German or Ukrainian. Sometimes they were criminals released from German prisons” (How were the camps run). This just shows how the Nazi’s did not care about the prisoners and how they were treated. Most the time the Nazi’s enjoyed seeing the prisoners in pain, especially the Jews. There were thousands of people captured and put into the Nazi camps where they were put through some very harsh treatment. Many bad experiences were encountered at the camps, at no camp were the prisoners seen as regular people they were just people/prisoners The Nazi’s did not care how many people were going to end up dying they just wanted all of these innocent people to suffer just because they did not like them.
