I mostly see that the manual work of managing data like record keeping in most libraries is a very lengthy and irritating procedure. Today, in the age of information technology, take example the computerised system, which is the developed field in the 20th century. Computer has already touched every aspect of life, business, education, industry, science, movies and animations etc. The great advantages that this application provides is the fact that we can store huge amount of information in the memory permanently, easily do complex arithmetic calculations and logical comparisons in fraction of seconds is quite incredible. The other characteristics make it capable to do work at extraordinary speed, consistency and accuracy that are beyond the human thinking .So, we understand now that the computer is the multi faceted personality or jack of all-trades, which has been designed to do all types of operations and tasks in the regular life. Thus, we conclude that everyone wants to include or add the modern technology features to make his work more productive and also I think everyone will increase interest in his routine work and will feel proud with timely raise in the standard of living as man must change himself with time. Taking into account these considerations of and for fulfillment of requirement for getting award of bachelor’s degree computer science, I have stepped into developing a software version of the LIBRARY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. There is a proper reason to choose the project. I know the importance of the library in life of every student and teacher. If work is done manually then a lot of time is wasted and student is prone to problems. So there is a great need for the computerization of the library management system.
