Compensation and Benefits Strategies Recommendations
In this scenario, Team A has agreed to work with a small business, Landslide Limousine. Bradley Stonefield is our client whom we must develop some compensation and benefit recommendations. Landslide Limousine is a small business with approximately 25 employees that is located in Austin, Texas. First, Team A will conduct a market evaluation by researching what companies in the relevant market are providing to employees from a total compensation perspective. Second, recommend a compensation structure. Third, recommend the position in the market. Fourth, create a total compensation and benefits strategy. Fifth, consider the use of performance incentives and merit pay to recognize and engage employees. Lastly, identify laws related to the benefits and pay program.
Market Evaluation
On account of the tight competition in Austin Texas, it will be challenging as a small business owner starting out to be competing with the larger companies in the market. When owners of new businesses find themselves hiring their first employees, the bold decisions must be tempered with thoughtful planning for the future (Cascio, 2013). The branding of Landslide Limousines as all-women 's drivers will impact more than the population of job candidates. The criteria gleaned from the job analysis will provide specific abilities and behaviors that can be sought out (Cascio, 2013). The need to find the initial drivers and then to keep up with turnover and growth over the next five will force Mr. Stonefield to look beyond experienced, professional drivers. An established probationary period will best suit a small company that does not have the resources for an expensive consultant to recruit and select…

Compensation and Colontion was the approach. It wasn’t what was the end result but what was intended. In the final judgment it was written in refernce the” prelimary one with the determintation to free the slaves in states or parts of states still in rebellion against the United Sates as of January 1st and then listed the regions in which the slave “ shall be then, thencefore and forever free.”” (pg333) Although it was not written in the final proclamation about compensation it was amongst a few other things mentioned. I think compensation was in order but sure to the slaves at that time beingn free was worth more than any amont of money they couuld have been given. It was written that they would be allowed to work and earn reasonable…
