Comparison Of Nursing And ANA Definition
After comparing the two definitions of nursing, I definitely identify with the ANA definition. Nursing practice has changed over the years. The difference between the two is ANA's development of new policies to promote long term health of the community. I believe it has truly elevated the nursing profession. Both nursing definitions promote the well-being and welfare of the population but with different emphases. ANA's nursing policies are rich in knowledge. It incorporates Evidence-based practice which constitutes a more holistic approach towards a patient's health by utilizing the most current and appropriate research and expertise, focusing on patient preferences in the process of nursing care (Samonte,2016).
