The Bible is the Christian scriptures, consisting of 66 books of the old and new testaments. It is also the Jewish scriptures, consisting of the Torah or law, the prophets, and the Hagiographa or writings. Inthis essay I will answer commonly asked question about the bible, when the first version of the King James Bible written.

For a very long time Jews and Christians widely believed that Moses wrote the first five books of the bible. There was lots of speculation about this fact, because it is obvious that Moses could not have written Deuteronomy 34:5-10, which talks about his death.     The three sections of the Hebrew bible are the Torah (the Teaching), Nevi’im (the Prophets), and Ketuvim (the Writings)(Molloy,2013). These sections are also known as Tanakh or Tanak. The sacred core of the Hebrew Bible is the Torah.
