Compare And Contrast Vampires And Zombies
The world is about to change and you are given a chance to pick your own destiny. Would you rather be in a vampire or zombie apocalypse? Zombies and vampires are different groups of monstrous creatures that charmed everyone’s imagination. Books, movies and articles are made about them and certainly took hold of man’s innermost interest. There is no known proof of both of their existence, but they surely exist in everyone’s fantasy.
In order to decide, it is best to compare and differentiate the two. One of the obvious differences between vampires and zombies is their appearance. Anyone can easily distinguish the two. Zombies are known to have “unstoppable craving for human flesh, especially brains” (Radford, 2012). Vampires wants just one thing, blood. Imagine fighting for your life against either of these fiendish monsters, how would you destroy them? Zombies are not too difficult to deal with, a simple gunshot to the cranium or a complete decapitation would quickly dispatch of the rotting undead, but weary of large mobs of zombies, they can be extremely difficult to deal with in numbers and can quickly overwhelm their prey. Isolating them and dispatching them one by one would be your best chance. Vampires on the other hand are totally different beasts to deal with. They are blessed with super human strength and blaring speed and agility; they are the apex predator. Before attempting to do battle with a ferocious vampire, it would be wise to arm yourself accordingly, a razor sharp wooden steak for impaling the heart, a vial of holy water and a necklace comprised of garlic for defense. “Traditionally, vampires fear religious symbols” (Clare, 2013). A vampire’s vulnerability is his heart; one clean penetration is all it takes to destroy him. The speed and agility can present a problem trying to impale the targets heart, that’s when the vial of holy water comes in to slow down the beast of the damned. The garlic necklace will come in handy and keep the demon at bay and will help minimize counter attacks against your frail vulnerable mortal
