The Aztec and the Spanish were both very powerful civilizations during the late 1400’s and early 1500’s. The defeat of the Aztecs One of the main reasons why the Spanish defeated the powerful Aztec empire is due to their weapons. Although these two groups were very different, they share some similarities with their weapons. The Spanish wouldn't have been as successful if it weren't for their guns, armour, and leadership.
