Compare And Contrast Golf And Track
Whether you are swinging a skinny titanium club and watching a tiny ball fly high through the air to land on the green or bounding onto the high jump mat along with sprinting in those 4x200 meter relay races, golf and track are two great sports to compare and contrast. When you really think about the two sports and their similarities and differences, the list could go on and on. Some examples may include the setting of the sport, what it takes to play the sport, or even how many people participate in the sport. Playing golf and running track at Central High School are two sports that are very different, but at the same time very similar in a variety of ways. The biggest comparison between golf and track is that they are both more of an individual sport. Although you are on a team, the person you depend on is yourself. In golf, you complete the course in a solo fashion, with only a small amount of other individuals from other teams playing against you. While performing high jump, long jump, and triple jump, you are competing by yourself with a few other individuals from other teams, just like golf. In other sports such as basketball and volleyball, you need a whole team playing at the same time to perform the sport. Another major similarity is that both of these …show more content…
The similarities can range from the setting of the sport, what emotions are felt during the sport, and also how many people compete in the sport. Many people do not even realize how similar the two individual sports are. On the other hand, golf and track have some differences as well. Some of these differences include what objects you use to play the sport, what season the sports are in, and also the noise level of each sport. Golf and track are two sports that are loved by many people around the world. A variety of people do not think about the similarities and differences between the two sports, but the list could go on and
