Do you dread the sound of your alarm clock every morning, craving you to get out of bed to go to work? Well you shouldn’t have too. You should have a career you enjoy and like to do. As a freshman in highschool I already have two careers in mind. When I get to be older I still want to enjoy what I make money doing. I am interested in being a fashion designer or a police officer. Although both careers in fashion design and police require you to live in a big city, they differ in the personal qualities and level of education that they require. To make good money and to be able to support a family, it is best to live in a big city for both fashion design and to be a police work. Experts report that “Most fashion designers live in New York or California”. This is because they are very busy cities with more business and more people. ( Bureau of Labor Statistics, “Fashion Designs”). Likewise, police officers need to be around a lot of people in a busy city. In small towns like Hanover there aren’t many crimes and or problems. In the college programs they learn about fabrics and computer-aided design technology. They are also able to work on designs that can be added to their portfolio.” In contrast, education requirements for a police officer vary from a high school diploma to a college, or higher, degree. Most police must graduate from their agency's training academy before they need to complete on the job training. To be able to qualify you must be a U.S. citizen, at least 21 years old, and meet physical requirements.("Police Patrol Officers") . They are very different, you could be a police officer without a college degree but fashion designers need at least a bachelors
