Compare And Contrast Farding Vs Primping
Primping to me sounds a whole lot better than “fard” or “farding”. If I was to hear one of my coworker’s complain about how this morning on his way to work, a woman driver in front of him was stopped at a green light, not proceeding to go because she was too busy “farding” instead of being more aware of her surroundings, my first thought would not be for my coworker but for the term, that was an awkward word choice in the matter. The word farding to me sounds too much similar to the alternative word for flatulence. When I hear or think of that term I do not think of the casual, “applying cosmetics to the face”. However, when I hear the term primping I think of that and more. Making mirror adjustments are what comes to mind. I am making mirror adjustments to myself with the application of foundation, eye shadow, mascara, and lip glosses and occasionally lip liner with lipstick. I believe that primping sounds more fitting for the call.

Although primping does consume a good amount of time, I feel that the end results are worth it. You feel more appealing to the eye, which boosts self-esteem. Therefore, you may feel more confident in something than you did before such as giving a speech to your audience. Looking as if you take good care of yourself can play a role in a person’s impression of you. The only downfall to this is if maybe throughout the day something happens in results causing your makeup to smear or wear off. When this takes place, you have created lines from where the foundation has rubbed off onto the strap of your purse or onto the hoodie you took off earlier that day. This can be quite embarrassing if you do not react. Especially if you are making a speech to an auditorium full of
