Compare And Contrast Essay On Applebee's
Have you ever been so excited to dine out for dinner that you saved your appetite until it was time to eat? Well, this is me almost all the time. Why spoil my dinner with foods at home if I can wait to splurge and enjoy it more at a restaurant? This day, I went to Applebee’s. Applebee’s has a relaxing feel to it; it is very casual. As I walked in, a host smilingly greeted me and led me to my seat. As I was walking, I noticed a different array of setups from bar stools, to booths, to tables, and high chairs. This restaurant is for families, couples, high-school and college students, or those who just want a night out to drink. There were array of televisions on, sports mainly, but there was also music playing in the background. Occasionally they have trivia night, but this time they had karaoke. The menu had a …show more content…
This appealed to me because, again, it is a healthy option and I love fish. This dish was overall savory.
The salmon was juicy and the vegetables (broccoli) were on the softer side because it was steamed. The smell of the salmon was savory and the vegetables smelt fresh. The salmon was one serving size and the broccoli was two. The presentation was neat. I do not feel as though this portion size justified the cost. Comparing this to other meals on the menu, this portion was a lot smaller. However, I do believe the taste justified the cost. It was great!

I would visit Applebee’s again for several reasons; it is affordable, casual, and the food is really good. As a college student, the first thing that I consider before eating out is how affordable the place is. Compared to Olive Garden, this restaurant is a lot less formal and costly. Overall, my experience was fun and enjoyable. I was relaxed sitting, laughing, and eating with my friends. When I come back next time, I may try a dessert. But there is one thing my friend Vanessa knows for sure, “Applebee’s has one of the best salmon

As my girlfriend and I pull into a crowded parking lot during a chilly Friday evening, we struggle to find a spot of our own, but manage to do so as we take the place of another young couple as they pull out to leave. I put the car in park as we both gaze at the numerous parties walking into the restaurant. A bright sign, hung lit overhead, shining the phrase "Applebee's Neighborhood Bar and Grill" atop a red brick building. Awnings were placed above every window, and resting on the ground, between each window, was a wooden park bench surrounded by lush, green foliage on either side. The whole place looked as if it had been pulled straight from a friendly neighborhood in the heart of the big apple. I knew we had made the right dinner decision even before walking in the large, double doors. Applebee's has always been a favorite of mine. There is rarely ever a wait to be seated and thrown into the laid back, neighborhood atmosphere that they aim to provide. Their service is exceptional, with quick and courteous staff members which you encounter as soon as you walk in. And depending on what you order, you can always count on Applebee's to present you with not just a meal, but an experience for both your eyes and your taste buds.…

What do you typically order when dining at McDonald’s or Wendy’s? When I am having a meal from either place, my favorite choice is a fried chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato, bacon and extra mayo. Sometimes, I may make it a combo and enjoy the greasy, salty french fries and an ice cold soft drink. Most of their customers often purchase the unhealthiest options because they feel as if that is what fast food is all about, right? Fortunately, it does not have to be that way. Fast food can be convenient and nutritious. Wendy’s and McDonald’s are both fast food restaurants, so they are alike in many ways. However, each one also possesses distinct characteristics that allow it to stand out from the rest of the fast food chains. Each restaurant offers a variety of healthy and unhealthy products for their patrons.…

I bought two pounds of Alaskan King Salmon today. To me, the most exciting thing about cooking salmon has to be making sure in getting the skin nice and crispy. Score, salt, pepper, cajun spice, oil….skin side down, a touch of butter. And that!...keeps the salmon so moist! One of my most favorite things to cook is a great succotash with fish. Just mindblowing! Start by caramelizing onions in the pan, add corn, red peppers, yellow peppers, green peppers, zucchinis, and squash. The salmon is resting.…

Right in the heart of downtown Claremont there is a trendy restaurant by the name of Heroes and Legends bar and grill. This establishment seems to appeal to a demographic of all ages. With a brick-laid exterior and a name like Heroes and Legends, one would expect advertisements of stouts, porters and fine meats- drinks and foods of a rustic, colonial motif. Walking into the establishment I was immediately told that there was a self-seating method. The feel of the restaurant was warm and upbeat, welcoming a friendly and social attitude. One main focal point upon entering is the bar. Easy to find, it has stool seating and a well-varied selection of beers on tap. Eager to know all the beer selections, I opened the small ringed book sitting on my table. I counted a total of forty-seven beers that were being offered on the list. Some of these beers were of special availability, therefore the waiters and waitresses encouraged us to…
