Compare And Contrast Egyptian Culture And American Culture
What is culture? Culture is the quality in a person or society that arises from a concern for what is regarded as excellent in arts, letters, manners, scholarly pursuits. The Egyptian culture aspects are different to American culture. Those aspects that I based my information off art & literature, religion, and social organization.

American and Egyptians are both very different but similar . One way they are different is religion. Egyptians are polytheistic which means that they believe in many gods, such as Mut the mother goddess of writing which was very important in trading with other colonies. Ra the goddess of of Sun and radiance, they worshiped her because they believed that he was the reason that their crops grew since he was a sun god . Horus the god of vengeance and was worshiped for being the god of the sky. In addition they also believed in life after death. Nevertheless Americans believe in many things but, …show more content…
American artist in don’t usually paint as much as much as they used to, but now Americans like to make sculptures. There are many different sculptures like a abstract painting or sculptures that is different or looks really weird but you still see how amazing it is. Another type of sculpture is a three dimensional, what that means is that you are able to see it from all angles not like a painting where you can only see it from one angle. Egyptians Art is also very unique . Ancient Egyptian art can be a god, pharaoh, or just a person carved on a stone slab. Another form of art in Egypt is a painting that is also on a stone slab. These characteristics of American and Egyptian art are very unalike due to the cultures of these places.

Egyptian culture and American culture are both very different to one another. Egyptians and Americans are both very unique to themselves. Even though Americans live very differently than Egyptians they are still very similar . All in all Americans and

    One similarity between the two is writing. Both had a very sophisticated, strange way of communicating in writing. Egypt and China both used symbols for their writing. The symbols had no relation at all to the language of either civilization. Egypt called this writing hieroglyphics. This writing was used chiefly in recording spells and keeping records. Similarly, Chinese writing was used for keeping a record of trade and money transactions. This resulted in cast iron and better weapons and agricultural tools. The Egyptians, however, created the calendar. This was very important in their society because it helped to keep track of when the floods would arrive and when the farmers should begin planting.
