Community Enhancements Officer
I chose to apply for the position of Community Enhancements Officer because this is a position where I would need to listen to the opinions about the dorm that my fellow residents have. The dorms at Carolina are nice and kept up well, but there is always something that could be improved on. Sometimes this might be something that faculty wouldn’t think of as many don’t live in the dorm like the students do. Whether the residents want something to make life a little easier or if they want something out of reach, I will be able research what they want, be a voice for the residents and let them know the truth. I enjoy hearing the opinions of other residents about the dorm which I believe would be helpful as a Community Enhancement Officer.

The Noncommissioned Officer has always been called the backbone of the Army. They connect the brain to the muscles. The brain would be considered the Officers who dictate the objectives. In most cases it is also the Officers who decide which tactics will be used to accomplish the mission. At that point it is the NCO’s job to assure that the objectives are accomplished. The non-NCOs are the muscles; the ones that actually perform the work. NCOs are the ones who run the front lines, and the ones that the fighting soldier looks to in the middle of battle. As a military we use decentralization of leadership to be able to win battles and wars. Higher leadership cannot predict every situation or need that might arise; therefore, they need junior…
