COMMUNICATION SKILLS ASSIGNMENT
Q1. REASONS WHY PEAPLE COMMUNICATE. 1. Interaction - People communicate to express feelings this brings people with different ideas together and they get to understand each other based on their different opinions, human beings are social beings and we interact with one another in order to be informed and stay up to date with what is happening around us. 2. Pass information - We communicate in order to make other people aware of what we are feeling, what is going on or maybe what we think. We pass information in order to express the exact things that are happening. 3. Share feeling and ideas - We communicate in order to express our needs and preference and to ensure that they are met. Sometimes communication takes in order to establish and maintain relationship with others, when we share feelings and ideas we let other people become conscious of what we are truly feeling. Communication is a tool with which influence can be exercised on others .People may agree or disagree with our ideas or sentiments about things but that is simply a way of communicating. Individuals communicate with carers to express their needs and preferences and to ensure they are met. As a carer I would discuss the options and choices available to the individual to allow them an informed choice regards their care 4. Create awareness - Communication can be used as a means of creating awareness. We create awareness by informing people what is happening around them. Making people aware may trigger some feelings and attitudes, awareness may motivate people or even establish and maintain relationships. Awareness makes people updated with the environment they are in. 5. To correct misinterpretation about information given - Communication allows ideas to be conveyed clearly and succinctly hence they is no chance of misinterpretation of ideas, but in case of this possibility communication helps us convey the correct and appropriate information about
