Communication in Today's World
Many people all around the world spend hours in front of computers and choose to communicate by email or instant messaging, rather than communicating in person. Some people believe that this is good because it helps shy people communicate more openly with others, while some believe that computer communication prevents us from developing interpersonal skills and limits the ability to have meaningful relationships with others. In my opinion, social networking has a lot more positives than negative qualities. It allows people to contact each other quickly and from any location, shy people can be open and express themselves freely, and lastly, those who are incapable of communicating orally.
For starters, communicating by email or instant messaging can allow people to contact each other quickly and from any location, all around the world. For example, if decide to write a letter, it can take you several minutes, to maybe even an hour hand writing, which by then, can cause your hand to ache but that’s not all. You still need to drive to the nearest post office, purchase stamps, and lastly, mail it out but, with today’s amazing technology, you can communicate back and forth, in a timely manner. In addition, another great benefit of emailing s having the ability to end videos! Emailing videos is very beneficial for those who have family members all around the world. With that being said, communicating by email or instant messaging allows people to communicate more often which can also improve daily relationships.
Secondly, communicating through email or instant messaging can help those who are insecure or shy, build self-confidence and can better communication skills. Being able to communicate with a device is a lot easier for shy people, which is why they take advantage of this. It allows them to describe themselves in way they cannot in the real world. In addition, emailing or instant messaging is great for shy people because it allows them to not feel left out of the world. For instance, emailing and instant messaging can be very beneficial for shy people. If they’re too shy or embarrassed to tell someone how they really feel, or if they’re upset, they might feel more comfortable telling them over a device.
Finally, communicating through email or instant messaging can be very beneficial for those who are incapable of speaking. For example, if you have a certain disabilities and cannot talk for long periods of time because you get out of breath, or if you’re deaf and can’t hear or speak clearly, emailing and instant messaging would be best for them.
In closing, communicating by email and instant messaging is quick and easy filled with many benefits. You no longer need to hand write letters, wait weeks for a reply, and waste gas. With today’s technology, you can communicate with loved ones from all around the world with a simple click of a button.

Before text messaging people would write letters, call each other, and a more recent way of communication is email. All of these were obviously ways to communicate faster and more conveniently. Letters are a long process, you have to write the letter, find an envelope and stamp then take it to a post office or some where that has a mail pick up. After all that you wait for a response and then that person has to go through all that too then depending on the distance it could take a while. Then there is the telephone a great communication device. You grab the phone dial a number and then you talk to some one (if they answer). That’s one of the easiest and fastest ways to communicate with some one. Email is more recent and it’s just like letters only faster and online. Each one of theses things were invented for an easier and faster way to communicate. Text messaging is a newer faster way of communicating.…

Mark Elliot Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, publishes the statistical data from last year. On Facebook, there are more than 13 hundred million active users per month. Over 120 hundred million messages have been posted every day. About 10 hundred million people use Facebook on phone and approximate 8.29 hundred million people log in Facebook every day. From these statistical data, it is not hard to figure out that with the development of Internet, people communicate frequently. We contact more frequent than before. How does frequent communication hurt our relationship? I do not think so. I admit that interacting with people might be the most efficient way to learn how to get along with others. However, it does not mean that the interaction must be face-to-face. Through Internet, people have much more chances to communicate with people who are far away from you. As an international student living far away from home, I benefit much from Internet. Studying in a strange country alone, I usually feel lonely. By Skype, I can keep in touch with my family. Through the small screen, I feel like I am back home chatting with mother and father and having dinner with our favorite talk show displayed on the television just like we did in the last 18 years. Internet reduces the distance between my family and me. With a phone in hand, we…

It is more cautious than a telephone discussion, making it the perfect structure for communicating when individuals would prefer not to be caught. It is frequently less tedious to send an instant message than to make a telephone call or send an email. SMS doesn't oblige individuals of health and social care to be at their PC like email and texting (IM) do - although a few telephones are prepared for portable email and IM administrations. SMS is likewise an advantageous route for hard of hearing and hearing-debilitated individuals to…

Especially in today’s age with so much technology and internet taking over the way today’s society communicates. The ability to communicate is deemed as the most compelling quality human beings possess. Not only is communication the way people ensure understanding and provide knowledge of information, but it is the way in which people connect with one another. Many scholars believe there are many benefits to technology taking over the present generation.
