Communication 101 Persuasive Speech Outline
Organization: Problem-Solution

Audience analysis: My audience consists of one 39 year old female who is college educated and works part time. It also consists of one 37 year old college educated male who is also currently in the work force and one 18 year old female who attends trade school and is currently in the work force. They are all Christians.
Topic: Living without God.

Rhetorical Purpose: To inform my audience about what life with Christ can be like and to persuade them to accept Him as their personal Lord and savior.

Redemptive Purpose: The problem one faces of living life without Christ is that they are living by their flesh and not by God and His word. They will also have a much harder time trying to get through life on their own and face an eternity of separation from God. As the bible states in Galatians 5:19-21 “Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”

I. Attention-getter
Everyone knows who Jesus Christ is. However many have not yet come to believe that He is in fact the son of God and have accepted Him into their lives as their personal Lord and savior.

II. Motive for Listening
When one does believe and accept Christ into their lives they will begin to see Him work in ways they never thought could happen. They will feel whole and through Him have the strength to face and get through any challenges that life may throw at them. They also will become a better person through Him and their sins will be forgiven. Therefore they will be born again through Him and have the confidence of knowing that their eternity will be in God’s heavenly kingdom with Him.

III. Credibility Statement
As an individual who has tried

With regards to salvation, it is important to know its importance. According to the Gospel, due to salvation, we are saved from the wrath (judgement) of God. The wrath was imposed upon us, due to the Fall of Man. Of course, this fall directly stemmed from the disobedience of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Due to their…

One becomes a believer in Jesus Christ when they search for him. Matthew 7:7 says, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find." The individual must acknowledge that things of this world cannot save them before they begin this search. If one truly seeks God, God will reveal himself to this person one way or another. Once this revelation takes place, they must understand that Jesus died for their sins. Isaiah 53:5 says, "he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities." Jesus was the ultimate scapegoat. They must also be willing to deny themselves and place Christ first in their life. The individual can then accept God's gift. Once they have accepted this gift, they will become a believer in Jesus…

My professional career is a very fulfilling one in which it is imperative that I present myself in a clear and concise image of God. Without being strong in my Christian faith this would not be a possibility. I work for Milton Hershey School which is a no-cost private school for children that come from poverty. On a daily basis I have the responsibilities of protecting two thousand underprivileged children assuring their safety. Living in an image of God allows me to protect the many children that come from poverty, as well as to interact in a professional manner with visitors to the campus.…
