Comets Thesis Statement
My Thesis statement is that Comets may or may not support life it self but we can infer that comets brought water and rock adding to form planets when crashing.Comets are made up of a portion of small planets so they could may be the recipe for making planets.Comets have highly eccentric orbits which take them far beyond the orbits of pluto. What comets are made of are so what called “dirty ball or dirty snowball”.Did you know that because of the dirty snowballs the comets tails melts. It melts because it passes by the sun’s orbital path.If your wondering why there called “dirty snowball” because they are made up of organic compounds like Ice,rock, and other kinds of compounds. The comets closest point of the sun is called “perhelion’’ and distants

This episodes of cosmos was a very interesting one. Neil Degrasse starts off with what was suppose to be the means of diversity between humans and animals and he speaks on the topics of natural selection, genetic drift and more to explain why there are so many different breed of creatures and why some are preferred compared to others in certain types of environments. He introduced us to a tree that contained all of the creatures that have been discovered by man, and he tells us the similar physical features that are shared amongst ourselves and those creatures. The part that fascinated me the most is the one that spoke on the topic of the development of eyesight, he used the example of sea creatures to display the complexity of eyesight development.…

Since ancient times, man has pondered over the great enigma about how our universe was formed. In earlier times we have answered this question through creationism, but with our burgeoning thirst of knowledge, we quench this thirst with science. Although we have a superior understanding of how our universe was formed, this question still remains. By sending Cassini to the f-ring of Saturn we can observe how planets form and interact with other matter in space, determine the definitive age of the rings and disprove pre-existing theories about Saturn as a whole.…

During the Modern Era of the late 19th century and the early 20th century, many artists were turning away from the idea of painting realistic images. Photography, having just been developed for public use a few decades earlier, made artists of the day focus less on painting as an precise copy of what is seen, as had been done for centuries. Since the Middle Ages, most artists painted exact representations of life. Starting in the late 1800s, though, many artists were starting to embrace the theory of art as an impression of what is seen. Impressionism, the art movement that began in the 1870s in France, was the first real development of this new concept of painting. Impressionists, such as Claude Monet, sought to put on canvas how they saw light and nature. Unlike the artists from centuries before, the Impressionists were not interested in painting images of nobility or religion; instead they focused more on painting ordinary people and nature. Post-Impressionism, which occurred about a decade later, still used similar subject…

Spacecrafts have retrieved extraordinarily valuable information that has furthered the human race’s knowledge of what exists in outer space. However, spacecrafts and shuttles are extremely expensive to build and launch into space so they should be well taken care of. Sending a spacecraft to an asteroid is far better and safer than sending a spacecraft to a comet for quite a few different reasons. First, an asteroid is made up of less materials than a comet. Next, comets produce two tails when approaching the Sun. Lastly, an asteroid’s orbit is much more predictable than a comet’s orbit. With these characteristics, asteroids make a better object for spacecrafts to land on rather than comets.…

The formation of the solar systems started with the idea that a very large cloud of hydrogen gas and dust gets disturbed by something and starts to collapse into its center, the center heats up and becomes a proto-star, the center continues to collapse, under the pull of gravity until it gets hot enough to begin fusing hydrogen into helium and becomes a star on the “main sequence”. It is believe that for a system of planets to form around a star during cloud contraction the cloud must contain heavy elements. When a star ends its life, it explodes in a tremendous…

According to the nebular hypothesis, these clouds collapsed from some kind of turbulence that caused it to heat up and eventually turn into a star. My understanding of the origin and evolution of the solar system is still very limited. Development is made by pushing through the scientific process of hypothesis, prediction, measurement, theory, and hypothesis. However, there is still a lot of guesswork to be tested before we can really talk about a real theory of solar system formation. Researchers believe that the solar system was formed when the blast of a nearby star called a supernova disturbed a cloud of gas and dirt in space. This burst made waves in space that held the cloud of gas and dust. Crushing made the cloud start to fall, as gravity dragged the gas and dirt together, creating a solar nebula. Eventually, the cloud grew warmer and heavier in the middle, with a circle of gas and dirt surrounding it that was hot in the middle but cool at the edges. As the circle got thinner and thinner, molecules began to attach together and form clumps. Some clumps got bigger, as molecules and small clumps stuck to them, eventually developing planets or moons. Near the midpoint of the cloud, where planets like Earth formed, only stony material could stand the great heat. Frozen matter settle down in the outer areas of the circle along with rocky material, As the cloud continued to fall in, the center eventually got so hot that it became a star, the Sun, and blew most of the gas and dust of the new solar system with a strong solar wind. Researchers have found that the solar system is about 4600 million years old! According to the witness explanation in Genesis, God created the earth on Day 1, and the sun and moon on the Fourth Day, most likely along with the planets. However, evolutionists refuse a Creator a hypothesis based on conclusions or judgments previously assumed, so they needed to come up with another…

Do you believe that there is life on other planets? Better yet, do you believe that there is another planet that looks like earth? As far as I can remember, there has always been the question of “is there life in outer space? I remember being in grade school wondering if there were humans or aliens on other planets and if they were trying to communicate with us. Around January 1986 the Space Shuttle Challenger exploded during takeoff in front of the entire world. As a teenager, this event was tragic and amazing at the same time because I felt that we were on our way to discovering new planets, solar systems, and other life forms. This tragic event was the start of my interest in outer space.…
