The start of the college experience is one that is like no other, in that it is one of the hardest times for a student. The college experience shapes the minds and futures of the students.
Many young adults envision vivid pictures of what college might be like for them. A lot of students enter college looking forward to good times, knowledge, independence, and a new sense of direction. In next to no time, they are exposed to the challenges and struggles of college life because of the great demands and expectations that are put on the importance of education. College students live through an immense deal of stress, especially when they are trying to balance a part-time job and have a social life. The demands of doing many different things with very little time can become devastating. Students must have to learn to use their time wisely and avoid the last-minute cramming.
College students must learn to adapt to their new surroundings as quickly as possible to accomplish the desired degrees. They come to the realization that life is not as easy as they might hope for. Many of the students seem to believe that college life is packed with parties and good times. It is often said that college is the greatest time of one’s life.
The daily tasks of the college students are not like laid-back lifestyle. Others get up or still stay up in the wee hours of the morning to fit all of the required tasks of school. Students often find themselves more exhausted and drained when they are trying to schedule tasks, because there just does not seem to be enough time in one day. This put in stress to a student life.
College students find very little time to enjoy extracurricular activities because for the reason that they will regret not getting the term paper or special assignment done that was due the following day or week. They embark on to feel pressure and load of demands that frequently leads to depression and social seclusion or isolation. The fear of being a failure and

    During this time a student will grow as a person. There is a diversity of people from all cultures and ages attending school today. There are clubs, fraternities and sororities. Each one of these can offer a support system that will aid the student’s trials and challenges of college life. During this time student can expect to mature as they make their way in the world with a newly found freedom that attending college may afford. They will become responsible as they learn to juggle work, schools, social lives and class load. During this transitional period student can expect some hardships as they learn how to balance budgets, do laundry, shop for groceries, become time managers and handle their finances. There is tremendous pressure that comes with attending college. Students will have many opportunities to socialize and meet new people through sporting events, pep relays parties and during class. During this time at school students can expect to act mature, work hard and most of all have some fun. Making the right choices while attending school is part of the process. Beware, it can be intimidating, lonely and challenging to attend school. The payoff for attending school is a lifetime of experiences to be cherished. Friends can either be made and lost during the time at school. The education, critical thinking skills, social skills cultivated and the Degree earned can never be taken away from the student. It is just a stepping stone to what lies ahead in the future.
