College Football Game Analysis
Week 12 of the college football season was one of the wildest we’ve seen this season. Several of the top teams fell, while one prominent player called out his coaching staff after his team attempted to execute a head-scratching game plan. No. 16 Navy had 12 players get at least one rushing attempt in their victory over Tulsa Saturday, while the leading receiver in Ohio State’s supposed high-powered offense netted just 22 yards against No. 9 Michigan State. Yet, that’s the beauty of college football — It never slights on the wackiness. Below is a recap of the most significant storylines from Week 12 of the 2015 college football season.

The Buckeyes fell to No. 9 Michigan State Saturday afternoon as the Spartans were forced to wield a dual quarterback system with starter Connor Cook only able to watch from the sideline because of a shoulder injury. Nevertheless, Sparty kicked a game-winning field goal as time expired that likely dethroned the defending National Champions. Ohio State’s game plan against Michigan State resembled the conservative style used by former head coach Jim Tressel. Tressel ball didn’t work for current Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer as his offense was largely lousy against the Spartans. If Michigan State defeats Penn State next week, they’ll head to the Big Ten Championship game with a shot at the Playoff. For Ohio State to reach the Big Ten Championship, they’ll need Michigan State to lose next week while defeating rival …show more content…
Look no further than the departure of offensive coordinator Tom Herman, who is in his first season as the head coach of the 10-1 Houston Cougars. Houston is having its best season since 2011, while the Buckeyes offense has looked lethargic the entire season. Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer took the blame for the play calling after the loss to Michigan State, but Ohio State’s offense hasn’t looked anything close to what it did last season. A win against rival Michigan next week would help heal some of the wounds the Buckeyes suffered

“I don’t know if I’ve ever been a part of something like that,” Mountaineers' head coach Randy Mazey said. “They were throwing pitchers that haven’t pitched much for them and our at-bats were just awful today. If you were to talk to Kansas’ coaches, and say ‘what do you have on the Mountaineers?’ They’d say ‘that’s a good hitting team, those guys can really hit.’ You talk to Canisius’ coaches about the Mountaineers, and they’d say the exact opposite. Now we just have to go figure it out.”…

From the opening kickoff Houston Football's offense was clicking. Greg Ward Jr returned from a high ankle sprain, and led the Houston Cougars to a 52-31 win over the Navy Midshipmen. However, if it weren't for an outstanding game by the defense led by Senior captain Elandon Roberts, Houston Football would not be playing for the American Athletic Conference Championship December 5th against Temple or USF in Houston.…

Now picture this, Jabrill peppers, Michigan’s star defensive player, is in a game against their rival, The Ohio State University. The final play of the game, Jabrill Peppers get the call for man coverage, he is locked on his man and trails him all the way down the field to the end zone. He watches as the ball flies on a direct path towards the receiver's hands, so he leaps into the air and he feels his fingers wrap around the ball before it got to its intended target. As soon as the bottom of his cleats touched the turf, he was off, sprinting down the field towards the end zone, he finds a gap in the red and white uniforms approaching him and he was gone, shedding tackle after tackle, until he reaches open field, where he knows he has done it, and makes the touchdown being the person who won this game for The University of Michigan.…

The story begins around April 2013, right about 3 months after I passed my tests and got my bowling coaching certification. I was at the time coaching a youth league at Cactus Bowl, I would coach one week and bowl in the same league the next. I had very little experience at this time when it came to coaching, I only had experience coaching the bumper bowlers at the time, and no experience coaching the kids my age. There were 6 other coaches, another who coached bumpers, one who was more there to heckle more than anything, two who would focus on one kid for the day, and two who would try to focus on everyone they could including the head coach who would get everything set up for when the league started.…

Coach MacIntyre should be set in the passing game with the return of both his starting QB and leading receiver. Since the passing attack was able to hold its own most of the season, it bodes well for a this year's team that can ill-afford issues on the offensive side of the ball. JR QB Sefo Liufau did a decent job leading the team by throwing for 3,200 yards and 28 TDs. After also throwing 15 interceptions, he should…
