College Admissions Essay-Where Should We Live?
WHERE SHOULD WE LIVE?

Where should we live? It is difficult to respond to this question. Some people prefer to live in a big modern city like San Francisco or New York City with many advantages, such as high education, good healthcare, entertainments facilities. While others choose to live in a countryside like Mendocino or Humboldt county where it is peaceful and relaxing. From my point of view, I would like to live in a big city, as there would be more opportunities for a growing-man like me for studying, looking for a job, and having a convenient life. There are many different things you need to access at when picking a place to live, but the most important thing you need to access is yourself. You need to see where you are at in your life and make sure that your making a wise decision. The first thing you need to look at is your job. You need to make sure that you like your job and that you are going to be working in the same location for the next few years. You also need to make sure you have job security that way you will be able to keep up with your payments. Another thing people need to consider is their personal lives. Your age and relationship status are major factors that need to be considered when deciding where you live. For example a single 26 year old probably doesn’t need to live in a big house with three bathrooms; but a married 26 year old with a baby on the way does. You also need to look at the housing market and decide whether or not it is a good time to purchase a home. You don’t want to buy a house that is at its peak-selling price, because if you ever decide to move you will probably lose money in the sale.…

Some people believe it’s better to grow up in a small town. Other people think it’s better to grow up in a big city. My position on this would be growing up in a small town because you can go around and meet the people in that town and make sure you can trust them and not have to worry about people sneaking around trying to find something they can steal from you.…

No matter where an individual grows up, he or she often times wishes to have experiences from the opposite point of view. In small towns everyone knows each other and people live sheltered lives. There are also not a lot of job opportunities. In big cities, there is a greater success rate. People also get a better understanding of cultural differences and there are more ways to pass the time. It is better to grow up in a big city, rather than a small town because there are many more entertaining activities to take advantage of, there are more diverse people to encounter daily, and there are more job opportunities.…

Aside from my education and career path, my home environment is also important to me. I would love to live in a small town, because I grew up in one and I absolutely love it. I love that everyone knows each other, and I have gone to school with the same people my whole life. I do need to consider, however, that there may not be any teaching positions available in a place like that, so I may need to live in a larger city. While finding a teaching position, I will try to be as flexible as possible when…

Big city or a big back yard? If you want to live like a king or at least be your own land owner, move to the country side. The country living folks have no preference on whether or not you are wearing name brand clothing or the latest Air Jordans that just came out. You have many types of houses to choose from, you can own as many animals and whatever kind of animal you desire, there are no dog breeds that are banned from the country side. This is a great way to get elementary schools involved in helping promote the site to its students and most importantly, their parents. Students are invited to write and essay as to why their community is the best place to live. They can submit them to the site f done electronically, or you can provide a mailing address for those entries that are done by hand. (If you allow this, you’ll need to scan them and upload to the site.) Often, the mailed versions are the more popular versions, as the youngest students tend to draw colorful pictures with their story. Because the essay involves creativity, the school’s administration is usually receptive. And because it is not an assignment, and they can gain an acknowledgement as well as a prize, students want to participate.…

Each of these places both has something special and unique about them. The choice for a living place is very individual and depends on one’s personal values. Personally I prefer the farm life, while others might choose to live in the city because they enjoy a much more busy and social living style. The factors that one must consider before choosing between the two are environments, lifestyles, and family values.…
