Col-101 Reflection
Taking Col-101 was strictly my decision. I did not have to take it because I have a full-time schedule. I choose to take it as the only class I as able to take this semester. Taking this class has helped me stay in college. My has has become some what demanding. In my life it has become harder to balance life. School , work, responsibilities and recreation are all areas in my life that require my full attention seven days a week. In prioritizing my life, school is at the top of my list. I knew if I wanted to be successful and finish school ( no matter how long it takes), I would need to reprogram the way I dealt with life changes-challenges and choices. The topic of this class really spoke to where I was in my life.

In chapter 8 in the textbook entitled "Think" It gave me 8 steps in critical thinking. Critical thinking is important in my college life. Critical thinking allows me to step outside of my regular thought patterns and become more open mined. This will allow me to see more options in my college life and critical thinking also allows me to exspand my veiws on how much higher of an acedemic level I can acheive.
One of the 8steps in critical thinking is , being able to distinguish fact from opinion. My opionion my be that the teacher don't like me and that I am going to fail the class. This way of thinking may not be a fact. My opinion my make me want to drop out. The Fact that I can change the way I see things by looking at thing differently, which is another one of the critical thinking steps will give me a positive
