Cloning Persuasive Essay
What do you think about cloning? Many people often consider it as a popular sci-fi movie topic, but little do they know that it has already become a reality. Many animals have been cloned in the past, and science is eager to move onto bigger and better things. However, the next step in cloning is one of great debate and controversy; human cloning. The biggest obstacle in cloning research is the ethical concern for human life and well-being, one that has caused human cloning to be banned in countless countries. Of course, not all cloning is about making an identical copy of someone, and not all of it can be considered negative.
The quality of human life can be greatly increased by utilizing special types of cloning. There is a special type

This process involves taking an egg and artificially fertilizing it, but it usually requires more than one egg because the chances of fertilization is somewhat low. If one egg is successful, the others are discarded or left in freezers where they would never be used. Using eggs like these should not be a problem if the eggs were already going to be thrown away. Therapeutic cloning is another example of a ‘silver lining’. It allows people to clone damaged body parts in hopes of transplanting them back into themselves. This allows for an easy alternative to organ transplants from strangers because the body will not try to fight off the transplanted organ. When an organ from another person is put into somebody, the body will see it as a foreign object and attack it, but if it is a clone (exactly the same) as their own, then the body will not attack it and anti-rejection medication will not be needed.. Also, cloning does not only have to be used for cloning. Avoiding breast cancer can become much more cost friendly and effective if cloning is allowed (Scientific process). It can also be used to further understand our origins as human beings to further scientific

While a large portion of society do not believe that we should clone any species there is the portion that whole heartedly support the quest to prefect not only the cloning of animals but the cloning of humans. By cloning we can create new ways to fight diseases and other health problems by doing things like cloning a liver for a person whose is shutting down. Cloning can also help bring a species back from the brink of extinction due…

Many people argue whether cloning is unethical or if through genetics the life span of a person may be improved. Human cloning creates questions about the soul, the role of god in society, and even the quality of life that a cloned person would have (Health Research Funding). Cloning is a number of different processes that produce identical copies of DNA. There are three different types of cloning: gene cloning, reproductive cloning, and therapeutic cloning. Gene cloning is the process where copies of genes or segments of DNA. Reproductive cloning is a copy of animals. Therapeutic cloning is embryonic stem cells for experiments to replace injuries or diseased cells. Cloning can be used for many reasons such as medical research, endangered or extinct species could be recreated, reproducing a loved pet that is deceased, cloning livestock for a higher quality milk or meat, and also…

Proponents of human cloning hold out two hopes for its use: (1) the creation of children for infertile couples (so-called "reproductive cloning"), and (2) the development of medical miracles to cure diseases by harvesting embryonic stem cells from the cloned embryos of patients (euphemistically termed "therapeutic cloning").…

I think cloning is bad because if we genetically alter clones and develop people to be perfect beings then there will not be diversity and there will be problems because people will be choosing selected genes to make the perfect child. Everyone will have the same bodies and diseases will kill a lot of humans because they are all the same. Cloning is also a big moral issue because the concept of making people could interfere or disrupt people’s beliefs and religions.…

If you had the chance to bring a loved one back into this world to stop your pain, would you? Cloning, the process of taking a cell from one organism, taking a donor womb cell from another organism of the same species (which will not affect the clone’s genetic identity), inserting the original cell in the donor cell, and placing the newly developed embryo inside a surrogate mother. There are those who think that cloning is a wonderful idea and that it is acceptable to make life, from and identical to that which already exists. One reason people protest the idea of cloning is because many are mystified as to how it could be used and what its purposes can be. I know that if it were your child, you would use every possible measure to keep them alive. The fact that we, as humans, might be able to figure out how to clone so that lives could be saved is extremely exciting and inspiring. “With so much enhancement in medical science, cloning is slowly but surely looking like it could be in our near future. However, is it really an option…

For many years, scientists have been experimenting in the field of cloning. Cloning uses an egg cell and a somatic cell to make a duplicate copy of the organism. It is currently a highly controversial topic in the scientific world. Many people can benefit from cloning. From farmers to patients, not only does cloning help scientists discover more about genetics, it will also help a lot of people. However, there are also ethical issues with cloning, such as the use of embryonic stem cells and cross-species hybrids. For instance, at the Salk institute, a human-pig embryo was recently made and destroyed. The purpose of the experiment was to see if human organs could be grown inside a pig. The authors believe that we are still far off from accomplishing cloning of human organs in animals. I believe that cloning will help this world, but there needs to be restrictions on human cloning and cross-breeding.…

Evidence: “ With the advancement and expansion of technology science has been able to achieve new wonders. These improvements and discoveries in science have allowed the human race to explore and learn more about the world. One such phenomenon is cloning. Cloning has opened the doors to explore human beings in a way that was once never possible. With cloning the human body, as well as other organisms, will be studied. Cloning and genetic engineering will both come into play to improve scientific knowledge.” (Serendip, 1)Citation: ( Serendip, Cloning right or wrong)Evidence: Many people believe human cloning should be banned prior to human defects, health problems, not proper treatment, and many other things. The science in embryonic cloning has progressed a long way since the release of therapeutic cloning practices and the birth of cloned organism. The processes opens new opportunities in the fields of medicine, scientific research, and has several uses in the future when there are more advanced practices that are even more efficient and safer with fewer restrictions. None of these ideas are very far fetched, cloning can be a great thing in mere years.…

There are many animals that are going extinct now than ever before. Dolly, the first successful clone of a sheep [mammal], was perfectly normal. She was a mother of six lambs, which were all bred the old-fashioned way. Although sheep aren’t going extinct it’s a perfectly good example of cloning. Just because we can prevent the extinction of an animal population, should we?…
