“didst thou note the daughter of signior Leonato” this shows him asking for approval.”benedick gives his “wisdom” “That I neither feel how she should be loved, Nor know how she should be worthy, is the opinion that fire cannot melt out of me…” this shows how he is bringing out claudio’s untrained side of him and basically teaching him about to socialize and how he is supposed to feel even if what he says is, sometimes not the best advice. Claudio and Benedick are foils of each other because of experience,feelings about love, and their reactions to certain things are completely different. The these characters are good friends and have a strong bond. These character foils are important because it adds personality to each character so the play or a book won't be boring or dull. Claudio and Benedick are best friends who are also completely different from each other, making this book a great comedy by each character being completely different and bringing out other characters
