Christianity As A Monotheistic Religion
Christianity was what used to be considered a monotheistic religion. While the true definition, means the belief in one God. Monotheistic, when referring to religion tends to have a negative connotation, as too many people for any length of time will rebel against one religion. Christianity was about traditions and following a certain doctrine and obedience. In the 1500’s the Roman Catholic Church ruled Europe. Even the King did not go against the Church. There was no separation of church and state. Ultimately the Pope was the leader of the western world.
