Although these religions are in constant dispute with one another, they have more in common than most people know about. Both of these religions trace the genealogy of their beliefs, and the foundation of their beliefs back to Abraham. He is their physical common denominator. Both Judaism and Christianity tell the story of Abraham. During a time when the majority of society was worshipping many gods, Abraham believed that he had heard the voice of the one true living God; who call Abraham to worship Him and Him alone. According to http://www.essortment.com/all/callabraham_rssf.htm Abraham was 75 when he first heard the voice of God. According to www.jewfaq.org/origins.htm he was born in 1800 BC, if there information is correct this would roughly place the start of monotheism at about 1725…

But how they are different is that there is no images in Jewish worship to avoid any possible form of idolatry and because they want to prevent temptation to worship something other than the ultimate reality. In Christianity there might not be images of God to say but there are many of Jesus the son and God is three persons: God the father, God the son, and God the holy spirit. Another way they are similar is that they both have had trouble preserving the religion, although it can be seen more in Judaism than in Christianity. They both have ongoing challenges that are slowly improving but need to improve more if they want to keep the religion alive and have more people join or believe in what they believe in. They both also have a book that they read during or for prayer that is sacred to them in Judaism it is called Torah and in Christianity it is the…

The early Christians believed Jesus Christ was the chosen one, and comparatively, those who followed Judaism believed the chosen one had yet to arrive. The earliest Christians inherited many of their central doctrines from Judaism, including monotheism and the belief in a covenant between God and humanity. Among few similarities that Buddhism and Christianity share, there is one major aspect from each religion that they share in common, which are the teachings taught by their leaders, Jesus and Buddha. For instance, out of the “Four noble Truths” from Buddhism, the second noble truth teaches that all suffering has a cause. Buddha had a strong belief that all humans were to suffer but there will be good outcomes. This is similar to Jesus’s teaching because humans are constantly suffering by temptations of Satan but in the end, God is just giving people trials in life to become tougher. Also Christians believe that God always had an amazing plan in life for each person. These are the similar teachings that the two religions share.…

I interviewed them over the Internet through video chat. That was very interesting. I had to have my family member translate to me somethings. But it was fun. I also have them write what they were answering to me. I e-mailed them the questions in advance so it would not be a shocker when I asked. I felt as if I was rude at times asking some of the questions. I kept apologizing and all they kept laughing at me. The interview was with Byra and Hansa Bose. Translation was Sandra and Justin Usry.…
