Chocolate Pretzel: A Short Story
My older brother arrived home from school and I was so excited to see him; yet, I was confused because he seemed upset-- so I decided it would be best if I asked him what was amiss. Even though he didn’t want to discuss his troubles with me, he somehow managed to gain enough endurance to talk to me --he knew that I was just a little kid with lots of questions and not a lot of exposure to the “real world”. He then proceed to pick up a chocolate pretzel. He then stated “this is why I am upset”. He seemed to understand his statment perfectly, but I didn’t understand what he was trying to say.
