During the Medieval time period, knights were extremely well respected soldiers that rode on the backs of horses in suits of heavy armour. The majority of men in a Medieval society could not afford the price it costed to be a knight. The heavy and costly armour, weapons and horse is what made being a knight such an honor. Since the price of being a knight was remarkably high, knight were extremely well respected. Along with the glory that came with being a knight, there were duties that were required. A duty required by a knight was the code of Chivalry.
Chivalry was a set of values that consisted of courtesy, loyalty, honor, courage keeping promises and truthfulness. Knights had to follow this code because it was expected of them.
